I want to thank Richard Rawe and Rick Fearon for inviting me on last night's program. I think we had a positive and fun discussion, and I want to especially thank those who had the courage to un-mute themselves to ask questions or make comments.
As for the sentiments expressed in the above-referenced link, I'd like to invite those who feel so strongly against Rick's SIX SCREENS site to build a website of their own and do it "their way." Put your money where your mouth is, like Rick did. As a good friend once told me, "That's what the BACK key is for." If you don't like a site, leave it. No one's got a gun to your head.
when i was a kid, i loved "bruce lee.".
therefore, i was a shodan in "karate.".
well, a japanese entertainer/idol "shoko nakagawa" (shoko-tan) did his mimicry.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=smw5c6yk2sg.
Bruce Lee will always be counted in the pantheon of martial arts legends. Many have enjoyed his movies, in which he displayed skill and power seldom seen before, but Bruce contributed mightily to the evolution of martial arts with the development of JKD and his philosophy of "absorb what is useful." Before Bruce came along it was unheard of that a Chinese Kung-Fu teacher would accept a non-oriental student, and Bruce literally had to fight for the right to teach whoever he wanted.
One advantage of living in Seattle is that Bruce Lee is part of this city, and I can visit his grave anytime I wish to pay respect to a great teacher.
okay, so my girls all moved out and we had three empty rooms and a lot of bills to pay.
so we decided to rent the upstairs room with its own bath.
we also have a three car garage and the single car garage is fully drywalled, has its own entrance and is huge.
As always, my prophecy was 100% accurate, except for a small chronological correction.
(sound familiar?)

A prediction: next month you will be evicting her.
my jehovah witness parents spent the week with me at my house.
when i suggested to watch a movie with them i thought we would watch the movie "avatar" i got on blue ray.
they were so shocked as they waved their hands in front of them saying, "no way!
Anytime I consider going to the movies, I consult my OUIJA board to see what the demunz are promoting that week.
some people say "hovah' "jehoovah", etc.
or they'll say instead of jehovah's witnesses, "hovies"....etc.. do you think that it's appropriate?.
"A salaam alaikum," pussycats!
Excellent point, Black Sheep! We mockers are following the righteous example of Elijah!
The "Political correctness" exercised by those who "respect" a dangerous mind-control cult is a slippery slope: prepare to be saying "Allah-hu akbar" pretty soon, you gentle and tolerant souls.
i have been on this board for over 2 years.
one thing that i have read over and over is to find something positive in my upbrining as a jw and i have been unable to do this.
all i have seen is negative.
Scarredforlife said, in part, " ...I learned very early, at least by the time is was 15 years old to not put any religious person, church, or denomination on a pedestal. And I never have..."
This is just my opinion, but unless you LEFT the WATCHTOWER when you were 15, I don't think your statement is accurate. If you stayed in the Borg, you were putting faith in them to provide your salvation. If you weren't putting someone on a pedestal, what were you doing at the meetings and out in field service?
I will agree that EVENTUALLY you learned this lesson, and that was when you LEFT the JWs. Up until that time, JW Elders and the teachings of the Brooklyn org were what you obeyed and lived your life by.
We know NOW that the GB are no greater than, and often less than, ordinary people. This realization FORCES action, unless you were merely playing along until you could escape when you became of legal age.
I eagerly anticipate your reply.

Since "Jehovah" is essentially a SLANG term invented by a catholic monk, I find it eminently mock-worthy!
thus proclaims the quietly un-annointed governing class of the watchtower and bible tract society, passing as truth.
(watchtower july 15, 2010, page 23, paragraph 10).
this paragraph about the governing body follows a description of the annointed class, a classic bait-and-switch.
Jgnat, a great observation, but I'll bet they'd counter that a person can "experience" history by reading a book about it.
